The superbly landscaped 60 acre GDGWS campus on the foothills of the Aravali Hills is comprised of nine ergonomically constructed main buildings interspersed with playing fields, golf course, gardens, green spaces and plazas for recreation and quiet reflection. The different areas are linked by approximately seven kilometres of well-lit, cobbled internal roads.
Main BuildingAt the heart of the campus is this impressive three storey edifice with Administration, Primary School, Middle School and Upper School wings.In addition to the spacious classrooms, the Academic Block houses the Library, science and computer laboratories, specialist studios for visual and performing arts, and the cafeteria. The Administration wing includes the Reception area, visitors and staff cafeterias, conference rooms, executive offices and the Nerve Centre which provides round the clock monitoring of the School’s technical systems. In the Parent lounge plasma TV screens show continuous information about school activities Boarding HostelsIn the separate four storey air-conditioned girls' and boys' hostels each group of four students shares a large bedroom with personal wardrobes and attached bathroom, and a spacious study/ common rooms for eight students sharing, individual internet work stations, plasma flat screen cable TV and edutainment systems with controlled digital channels. Each group of 16 students is cared by a House father or House mother. The House Parents’ two bed roomed studio apartments are situated between the sets of four student bedrooms on each floor.Main Refectory & Dining HallThe Refectorio - Dining Hall is a Centrally Air conditioned 2 level building spreading over 13,000 sq.ft with a seating capacity of approximately 1000 students. The Refectorio serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The bright décor adds to the cheerful and welcoming ambience. The Refectorio serves Indian, Chinese, Korean, Continental and variety of other cuisines. The menu is set by expert dieticians and cooked on campus maintaining stringent quality controls. Juices and organically cultivated fruits, vegetables and eggs are also part of the menu. Keeping in mind the sentiments, there are separate cooking areas for veg & non veg. The dining hall boasts of state of the art installations with separate hot and cold counters. Mechanical Dish washers and waste disposal systems guarantee a hygienic experience.Medical CentreThe GDGWS Medical Centre is equipped with Mini Operating Theatre ENT, X-Ray, ECG, ultrasound, ophthalmic, dental, oxygen, life-saving facilities, pathological laboratory and accommodation for resident and other doctors and nurses. For more serious emergencies our fully equipped ambulances, with global-positioning communication systems provide rapid access to top class specialist hospitals/ Nursing homes.Health & Fitness CentreThe main foci of the Centre are the full Olympic size and separate early-years swimming pools. Separate swimming coaches for different age groups makes swimming a fun activity choice for seniors and juniors alike! A 26 feet high, 10,000 sq. ft. size multi-purpose hall with viewing galleries, provides a venue for both sporting and cultural activities. The Fitness Centre houses a hi tech gym, Squash Courts, Table Tennis & Billiards Rooms, and a top of the line Salon & Spa! The hair and skin care salon is a treat for boarders as they need not step out of campus for personal grooming. On a stressfull day they can unwind in the Steam & Sauna.BoardingGDGWS has on campus , centrally air-conditioned hostels (separate for boys & girls). Each floor of the hostel has resident staff who make sure that everything runs smoothly and look after the welfare of the students. With regard to security, it is world class, with fire sprinklers/ fire alarms, smoke detectors at regular intervals. All areas of the campus have finger scan access with restricted entry zones. Students have access to a tuck shop for their day to day needs.
