Students of IB PYP Grade 4 visited National Zoological Park, Delhi on 12th April, 2018, as a part of their extra curricular activity initiative.
The outing was a mix of acquiring information and enhancing their knowledge about the current unit under the TD theme ‘Sharing the planet’. The trip also gave our students, hands on experience about the forest ecosystem and the importance of biotic and abiotic factors along with their interdependence on each other.
Visiting the zoo helped children understand the significance of taking care of the environment as it has a noteworthy impact on the lives of animals and on their welfare. The excursion also developed their research (observation skills), social skills and Self-Management skills.
