GDGWS senior cricket team had a comprehensive 4 wicket and 19 runs win over Amity International School, Saket at our school cricket ground on Saturday,15th October. Our team won the toss and decided to bat. Virat Mann’s aggressive half century with strong support from the batting line up helped the team score 146 runs for 7wickets in 20 overs. A good bowling spell by our bowlers Abhinav (03), Satish (02)and others bundled out AIS for 127, around 19 runs shorter than the par score.
Our Junior team also played against AIS on the same day. Our team won the toss and elected to bat. The match end in a draw with both teams scoring121 runs in 20 overs.
Our junior & senior school cricket team had also played a friendly cricket match against Amity International School, Sec 46 on Saturday, 1st October. Sanchit Tyagi played a captain’s knock and scored 46 runs leading the team to victory by 6 wkts. He was declared the Man of the Match.
