The students of Grade IX were thrilled at the idea of baking bread on their own. This was possible when they visited Hotel Double Tree by Hilton in Sohna to attend a ‘Workshop on Hospitality’. Welcomed very warmly with a refreshing welcome drink by the staff of the Hotel, the experience started with the students all dressed in aprons and chef caps followed instructions from the Chief Chef on how to bake bread.
It was an amazing experience for these young students as they learnt the rules and regulations to be followed before they started baking breads in various attractive designs of their choice. The students were taught about the hygiene standard to follow while baking. Satisfied from the job they were then taken to a tour of the entire Hotel. Beautiful and very well maintained, the students learnt about the various departments and their roles in the running of a hotel. A quiz session was conducted by the Training Head of the Hotel to check their knowledge and understanding of the various departments. What thrilled the students most was when the students were handed over the breads that they had designed and baked? It was an enriching experience which the students would cherish forever.
