It’s that time of the year again when we remind ourselves that we truly are a global society.
Learning a modern foreign language can be both educative and fun. And to showcase the linguistic talents of our students from PYP, IGCSE and IBDP and their understanding of the different European and other world cultures that they are learning through their language programmes, the department celebrated the Foreign Languages Week from the 20th to the 21st of September through a series of language assemblies.
These assemblies, which were conducted successfully, included presentations, songs, skits and videos reflecting the cultures of Spain, Germany, France and Korea.
The objective of these assemblies is to remind our young learners that we can and need to appreciate cultural diversity and the richness and beauty within that diversity.
