Kabbadi is mainly played in South Asia but has now become a very popular game all over the world. The word kabbadi is derived by a Tamil word “Kai” (hand) and “pidi”, which is translated into “catching hands”. A lot of strength and techniques are involved into the game. It is played between two teams which occupy opposite halves of an area and take turns sending a player into other half to win points by tackling members of the opposite team. Seven people participate from each side.On Wednesday evening boys of grade 11 played kabbadi . The match was between Mr.Glen Johnson and Mrs.Glenda Johnson’s team. The teams stood up in the field with a lot of planning and strategy. Both strong and weak players played the game fearlessly. Strong and smart players like Kafeel Gilani, Ravit Sharma, Shivraj Singh and Jayraj Patel raised the level of the game. Our house parent and sports teacher also joined the game. Later class 11th and 12th had a kabbadi match. The game was played with great level of maturity and everyone had a great time.
