Continuing their winning streak, MSP boys defeated PUSH Cricket Centre of Excellence by 2 runs in a closely contested match on Saturday.
It was a match in which tempers were always high and it was quiet evident with the way our boys celebrated in the end. We had scored 141 in 25 overs courtesy Anurag Dhingra (38), Aditya Bhardwaj (24) and Pratyush Purvar (25).
In reply PUSH were in trouble straightaway as Pratyush accounted for the openers in the very first over. They were further dented by Kshytij Luthra who took two wickets in consecutive balls in his very first over. PUSHCCE kept losing wickets at regular intervals and needed 38 runs with just one wicket on hand. We thought victory was round the corner but the last wicket paid added 35 to make things pretty tense.
Skipper Rehaan turned to his trump card Pratyush to win it for his team. With his 3rd ball he dislodged the wickets leading to wild celebrations.
Pratyush finished with 3 wickets each and was well supported by Kshytij Luthra and Aryan Pahwa who accounted for two each.
