MIDDLE SCHOOL INTRA-CLASS POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION FOR PUPILS OF GRADE-6

Poetry is the essence of literature. It is the language of imagination and passion.
An Intraclass Poetry Recitation Competition was organized on 10th of November 2016 at GDGWS with Grade-6 students. This activity was organized to explore and encourage the speaking skills and confidence in children. The activity also aimed at instilling a sense of aesthetic beauty into young minds and it inspired children to come forward and recite.
The pupils participated earnestly in the competition. They came up with beautiful poems and recited with enthusiasm on varied topics like Friendship, Cricket, Humour in life, Science Fiction, World Peace and Environmental Awareness.
The students also learnt the correct pronunciation of words, importance of voice modulation and right expressions through this activity.
