‘The school Assembly works as a unifying force where every student realizes that he/she is part and parcel of the school community. It also works as a source of inspiration and its experiences widen and deepen students’ interests. Moreover it provides opportunity to the teachers/students to give their insights on various topics.’

Pupils of Grade 6A represented themselves as a strong team while presenting the topic ‘Books are best friends.’ To enhance their knowledge, the Dean of Libraries,Ms. Madhu Bhargav was also invited and whose warm presence and thoughtful speech delighted one and all.

The students flawlessly recited a prayer and shared the ‘thought of the day;’ National, International and Sport’s news were read out as well. This was followed by a beautiful poem recitation on the topic “Read a Book”.

M.C’s Nakul and Archita further continued with a little discussion On ‘Why One Should Read A Book When Videos Are Easily Available Nowadays’; to understand this topic thoroughly, two videos on, “how reading affects your brain and why one should read’ were displayed. To comprehend it precisely, the pupils further staged a short comedy skit on ‘TV vs Book.’ The Assembly’s penultimate item was a dance performance by the girls.

To conclude the Assembly, Ms. Madhu Bhargav gave an amazing speech illustrated by a video to the kids to make them understand benefits of reading.
