A two day Cambridge Lower Secondary (Science) workshop was conducted on 20th and 21st April, 2018 at the Ardee School, Gurugram. Ms. Ruchira Pant represented GD Goenka World School.
The aim of the training session was to familiarize the teachers with the curriculum framework so as to create a scheme of work, which aptly justifies the assessment aims. Since science is a subject of ‘when, how and why’, a lot of focus was laid on scientific skills through hands on activities and designing of labs.
A session on micro-teaching helped in learning a range of methodologies of teaching and learning. Marking questions and giving feedback was another important segment that was addressed by the trainer.
