Bakery Workshop for our boarders

With Christmas around the corner, a workshop to learn baking cakes and muffins was organized for the boarders in collaboration with the Department of Hospitality of GD Goenka University on Nov 27, 2021.

Boarders were divided into six groups of five each. Mr. Gurudatt and his team from the department first conveyed to the participants the dos and don’ts of using bakery equipment of ovens and mixers. Then participants were instructed about the process of baking fruit cakes and chocolate muffins and the quantities of ingredients required for baking.

When the participants followed the instructions while baking, they were supervised by Mr. Gurudatt and his team. After mixing the ingredients in the mixers, the participants baked cakes and muffins in the ovens. The participants were happy when the fruit cakes and chocolate muffins came out of the ovens as desired and tasty. The participants enjoyed the workshop and it was a great experience for them.
