Today, on Earth Day, we’re proud to highlight the dedication of our IB PYP Green Team and the inspiring initiatives undertaken by our Goenkans to promote sustainability and environmental consciousness. From reducing plastic use to upcycling old materials into eco-friendly products, our students are actively engaged in fostering a cleaner, greener planet.
Our Grades 6-8 students have embarked on an educational journey exploring renewable energy, waste management, and rainwater harvesting, aligning with this year’s theme, “Planet versus Plastic.” Their dedication to environmental awareness and action is truly commendable.
Notably, our IBDP students organized an assembly that not only raised awareness but also sparked meaningful conversations and initiatives within our school community. The performance by the school choir, singing ‘Love Song to the Earth’ by Paul McCartney, was truly inspirational.
Kudos to these future leaders for their commitment to preserving our planet! At GDGWS, we firmly believe that educating students about sustainability shapes responsible global citizens. Let’s continue taking meaningful actions to protect and preserve our planet.
Happy Earth Day!
