For the dancer there is no outside. Nothing exists beyond the system she sets up by her acts. One is reminded of sleep-an artificial somnambulism, a group of sensations which make themselves a dwelling place where certain muscular themes follow one another in an order which creates a special kind of time that is absolutely its own. “The homecoming dance was unexpected but extremely invigorating. Coming back from home after a long summer break, the dance was the best way to bid farewell to the homesick blues. Loud music, screaming people and flashing lights were the perfect distraction. Kudos to the DJ for bearing our numerous music requests. All and all a night to remember.”
