G. D. Goenka World School, Gurgoan-Sohna , organized Goenkan Scienamite- 2010 , an Inter –School Science Competition on January 21, 2010. en-compassing four activities : Sci-Wiz : a Quiz for students of grades 9-12, The Big Fight : A Debate for senior students , Cyber Web: The Power Point Presentations for middle school students and Shadow Scales : Science Tricks for primary students.
The programme commenced with a formal welcome by Principal Neeta Bali, who emphasized the importance of taking the study of science beyond the walls of the classroom. Academic Director, Satinder Kumar declared the competition open. The overall trophy was bagged by G D Goenka World School. G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj was declared Ist Runner Up and Vasant Valley School,New Delhi, was declared the second runner up.
