G. D. Goenka World School organized “Goenkan Scienamite”, an Inter –School Science Competition on December 15, 2010.The theme of this year’s Scienamite was Biodiversity, since the year 2010 was declared the year of Biodiversity by United Nations .It en-compassed four activities: Sci-Wiz: a Quiz for students of grades 9-12, The Big Fight: Turncoat for senior students, Green Strokes (Model Designing) for middle school students and Conservation Campaign-Skits for primary students.
The programme commenced with a formal welcome by Principal Mrs. Neeta Bali, who emphasized the importance of conserving the environment and valuing Biodiversity for a beautiful tomorrow .Academic Director, Mr. Satinder Kumar declared the competition open. The overall trophy was bagged by G D Goenka World School. Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj was declared First Runner Up and Delhi Public School, Maruti Kunj, was declared the Second Runner Up.
