In a solemn ceremony conducted on the 23rd November, the new prefect body was sworn in. This was definitely one of the most significant events for the school and also a defining moment in a student’s life.
Principal ,Mrs. Neeta Bali ,and the Vice principal, Mrs Neeru Sharma ,were escorted in by the outgoing prefect body. The ceremony commenced with the Principal joining the Council followed by a song,”Maan-Mandir”.
Then the Principal administered oath to the new Head-boy and the other members of the council. The pledge resounded unmistakably as each prefect repeated the words with great humility and honour.
This was followed by the council members handing over the responsibilities to the new Student body.
With a sense of pride and responsibility the new Council members took their places on the podium. In her address , Mrs Bali, stressed upon dignity, honour, and selfless service and leadership, reminding the prefects that it’s not so much about authority as it is about responsibility. She proposed the one thumb rule,
“Take good action, for good reasons for the ultimate good of the school.”
To conclude the ceremony, the new prefect body escorted the Principal from the podium.
Mrs.Bali, suggested the new body to: “lay down the rules and guide lines at the very beginning.”
