The day began with the hoisting of the Indian flag by our Principal, Ms. Neeta Bali, followed by the National Anthem. This year, the students of the Primary Years Programme, came together to portray the National Anthem in the form of “Kinesics”, for the benefit of the visually and auditory impaired—and it was done very beautifully, indeed.
The events that followed, included a very well done instrumental piece performed by the students of the Middle Years Programme, an excellent enactment of the preamble by one of our students who took up the role of Jawaharlal Nehru, and a series of enactments of our famous freedom fighters, by the children of the Primary Years Programme.
The programme concluded with very inspiring speech by our Principal. Later in the day, an Inter House Kite Making Competition was organized, wherein the students came up with elaborate and amazing kites. Every Kite carried a message on “Incredible India” The results of the competition were: Nyssa: First Position: 105 points, Sorbus: Second Position: 91 points, Cycas: Third Position: 85 points. Congratulations to the winners!
