On bright and windy day Parents and the representative of G.D. Goenka franchise schools from all over the country and abroad thronged the cricket stadium to be part of the annual athletic meet,”GOENKAN SPARTA”.
Head of school and Principal Mrs. Neeta Bali welcomed the chief guest Mr Bhanu Sachdeva ,an ace swimmer Arjuna Awardee & presented the annual report highlighting both the academic and co-curricular achievements of the students in various fields.
The event started with the unfurling of the school flag by the chief guest followed by Walk Past by PYP students in different tabloids decked in ethnic and vibrant attire symbolically highlighting various issues like nature, anti corruption, space and other social issues. .Marching contingent of various houses and the marching band of Mahar regiment enthralled the audience. Beautiful dance was staged by the students of grade 1& 2 mesmerized the audience.
All the displays including Yoga, Aerobics, Para fun, Taekwondo Lesjeux sportifs and pyramid & the races kept the audience spell bound. The shared excitement of winning and cheering for the colorful fun races of grades Nur to 2 and the relay races of the students of PYP,MYP, IGCSE& IB students was truly inspirational. The chief guest honoured the winners who participated in the track & field events. The event came to an end by the recital of the National Anthem
