On April 13, 2012, students from 20 schools ,attended the Kids for Tigers’ Festheld at the Shri Ram School (Moulsari Avenue) ,Sohna. The Fest was an opportunity for the students to interact with the naturalists, to take part in creative activities aimed at spreading the message of “Tiger Conservation.” Students of Grade VIII of G. D. Goenka World School participated in the Fancy Dress Show, the Eco-Fashion Show, Model –Making and other Impromptu events like Decoration of Scrolls with ‘Messages on Conservation’.
The students expressed their solidarity for the cause through these events. This was a real eye opener for all .The idea behind the Tiger Fest was to attract the students and appraise them with the current tiger crisis and help them understand thatthe tiger population is dwindling and poaching is on the increase.Public awareness is the need of the hour to save the ‘Tiger’.
The organizers presented our school with a Certificate Of Participation .
