“Madhubani made alive by the students of GD Goenka World School”

It was a moment of immense joy and pride when our entries from the IGCSE and PYP got shortlisted out of 500 entries from 7 cities in India and SAARC Nations for the final round which was showcased on the 11 October at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. The young team was thrilled when the Chief Guest, Mr VikramDoraiswamy, Joint Secretary SAARC distributed the certificates to them.

 

The adventure began when a group of eight students, RitanshiKhari, MeherLuthra, Ashima Jain, Faraz Ahmed Ali, VanshdeepAshok,Vikalp,Alina and Prashant along with the mentor, Ms Simi Sawhneyand Ms SavitaDagarstarted to dig information about their projects.The enthusiastic participants got together to document information in the form of a narrative of 2000 words on ‘Professions: The changes we see and Times : The Past,Present and Future’.The young team met the real practitioners to understand the changes and brought it alive in the form of anecdotes, lyrics and photographs, archival material and photo evidence of actual visits and interviews.

‘Itihaas- Indian Traditions and Heritage Society’ is in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Archaeological survey of India and UNESCO India. ITIHAAS organizes ANVESHAN which encourages young learners to become storytellers and chroniclers of the past.
