A Boarder’s Perspective !

It is said that after a while, once you get used to all the rules and living alone, boarding becomes home. Today, we boarders experienced a little bit of home in the boarding. We celebrated the festival of ‘Raksha Bandhan’. It was an initiative taken by our house parent Ms Maggi Fernandes, which was fully supported by our Principal ma’am.

The programme was a huge success. We had a small presentation explaining the importance of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ for all the international students studying in our school. The children who had siblings were the first to tie a “Rakhi” After a lot of teasing and convincing, we successfully managed to tie a Rakhi to all the senior and junior boys in our school. Overall, it was a very exciting day for all of us. We all enjoyed ourselves. With the festival spirit in the air, and cheer and laughter, we look forward to many more such celebrations.
