G.D. Goenka Primary Years Program initiated their participation at the ‘Raahgiri Day’ on 09th Feb 2014 Grade 5 as a part of their current Unit, Nutritional Deficiencies came out to spread the awareness through a ‘nukkad naatak’ (street play) along with a walk-a –thon.
The students assembled at the ‘Galleria market’ with a lot of zeal & took their marathon way up to ‘Vyaapar Kendra’ market. They carried informative posters & banners on various nutrients with bright caricatures which was quite catchy yet educative. They were greeted with a crowd which gave them patient ears & appreciated their efforts.
The children presented a street play ‘Jeene Ki Raah’ which highlighted the daily worries of modern day parents whose kids binge on junk food. The impact of the play made the crowd overwhelmed . Finally it culminated as the children passionately recited their slogans on their way back. Parents along with the general crowd appreciated the efforts of the initiative which motivated the young crowd for pledging towards healthy habits.
