The students and staff of GDGWS celebrated the 72nd Republic Day. The assembly is hosted by Devangat Singh of 11th and Raghav Verma of grade 12th. It started with the address of Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, Ms Sadhavi Niranjan Joshiji in her profound message she spoke about,’ How the common man is empowered in India to voice his opinion, articulate concerns and choose their representative based on merit rather than a family legacy. The message also urges young people to take a pledge to honor India’s Constitution, Culture, Integrity, Independence and contribute wholeheartedly to the growth and development of the nation. As the flag couldn’t be physically hoisted, a video of the past hoisting along with the national anthem was the highlight of the special assembly. Dr. Neeta Bali, Director-Principal, at the event brief the significance of the word ‘Republic’.To add to the fervour of the occasion, students presented their performance which was presented in the assembly. Other presentations included a description of India’s achievements of the last decade was the highlight of the assembly and which made the special assembly a great success.
