Streets at Gate No.7, Hall No 12 -12A,Pragati Maidan were full of art. From traditional watercolours to modern abstracts. front the conventionally beautiful to downright bizarre, the United Art Fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. had it all at Display. Some 2,000 works of art in various avatars like paintings, sculptors’ installations. print-making and digital art were on display front the 28th.Sept to the 30th.Sept.2012. The exhibition hall had been divided on the basis of “streets” bearing household names like Raja Ravi Varma. Amrita Sher-Gil and Rabindranath Tagore.
The exhibition was divided into separate spaces, the division was called “Mind the Gap” and one half featured the known and the other relatively unknown. While the “known” had regular beauties like M.F. Husain and Swill Das. the unknown were rich and did what a good piece of art was supposed to do – it stayed with us even alter we left. The Visual An candidates had a Visual treat. Art in its many manifestations was a ‘not be missed’ fair. The Budding artists were completely fortunate to visit the Pragati Maidan.
