Calendared Math Activity -“Origami fun with Pythagoras rule “ held on 25.11.16
On the 25th of November, a Math activity on “Origami fun with Pythagoras Rule” was conducted in both the sections of Grade 8 during class transaction lesson.
Mathematics is a subject that many fear and prefer staying away from. Hence, conducting such Math activities is helpful for students. They can learn different ways to deal with the subject and develop a liking for it through these activities.
The students proved the Pythagoras Rule using square paper and methods of folding through the art of Origami. The pupils were engaged and involved throughout the lesson and in the end were able to apply the Rule to find out the unknown lengths in the right triangles.
