Children not just make us happier, they bring an increased sense of meaning into people’s lives. To spread the joy of the spirit of children’s day, G.D. Goenka World School celebrates children’s day every year.
This year Children’s Day Carnival was spread over two days- For upper Primary on 13th November 2014 and for Lower Primary on 14th November 2014. The Upper Primary children were randomly split into groups with their energetic teachers as their mentors for the, bridge bowling, blind kick, caterpillar race, Frisbee in the hoopla etc. Post accomplishment of these activities, a map was given to the teams for the treasure to be hunted for & the winner team got a surprise hamper.
Children thoroughly enjoyed the team building activities in the perfect weather outdoor. This not only brought about a sense of belongingness in their respective groups, it also enhanced their competitive spirit & made them feel special on their day.
The children of lower primary had a fun filled day with Mickey Mouse bouncee, a toy train, a slider and a ball pool. The thrill on theirfaces was unbeatable. They developed a special bonding with their peers and teachers through various outdoor activities. The carnival ended with the dance, role play and other performances put up by the teachers. This exhilarating experience was an apt gift to them from school’s side.
