The 22nd of December was to be a special day for the GDGWS community and it really turned out that way. A crisp sunny morning with children singing carols…who could resist the infectious Christmas spirit? The young ones of the PYP section enthralled the audience with their melodious carols and adorable dance movements.
There was an Inter-House talent show for IGCSE and IBDP students in which representatives of the houses came on stage and sang medleys of carols and Christmas songs .There were Houses that put up dances as well.
The result of the competition was were as follows : 1st position was bagged by Sorbus House,Nyssa House was 2nd,Cedrus House came 3rd and Cycas House came 4th.
Our Director-Principal addressed the gathering and reminded the children and all present the importance of the school motto- ‘Higher, Stronger, and Brighter ‘in the context of the future of the school.
The MC Keerit Singh 12 C ably conducted the show which was well received by an enthusiastic audience.
The students then rushed out to attend the winter carnival where many stalls and interesting activities awaited them. After this the community bid each other farewell for the winter vacations.
