On the 18th of August, a group of pupils of Grades 6, 7 & 8 participated in an activity that required them to make small circular tiles/slabs of clay on which they added embellishments of their choice. The teacher demonstrated how to do this and the young ones had a very tight schedule in which they managed to produce some very beautiful designs and images. There was a hushed silence as the students quickly prepared their respective tile. These were turned into wall decorations by making a small hole in the clay tile towards the top centre of the composition. It was a fun-filled time for the students and it was interesting to see what the little hands came up with.
