There was a match being played between IB and IG students interspersed over two days.
IB batted first and scored 151 in their alotted 17 overs.
Arpit Gupta of XI A scored 52 not out while Ayush Kapoor XII B scored 40. Rishabh, Shubham and Yuvraj Bindra took a wicket each from IG.
Chasing a stiff target IG started brightly scoring 43 in first 5 overs but lost their way thereafter. Ayush Kapoor and Ujjawal Chaudhary with two wickets were mainly responsible for derailing the chase. Skipper Bhavya Madan, Azad Bidhuri and Lalithesh Yadav too took a wicket each.
Losing wickets in a cluster meant that IG was never in the Hunt. Only point of interest was whether Yuvraj Bindra who was batting brilliantly, would be able to complete a well deserved half century.
He needed 8 in the last over and when the equation reached 5 off last ball the task looked too far from him. A six was required off the last ball and much to the delight of his team mates he duly dispatched the last ball over mid wicket fence to finish on 51.
A ruckus that ensued because of last ball drama made it difficult to figure out who won as IG were celebrating Yuvi’s feat like they won the world cup. But of course, IB was no match for IG in this game and they eventually won the game by 40 runs.
