At GDGWS, we deeply appreciate the profound impact our teachers have on motivating and empowering our students. Our recent PDP sessions, held soon after the school reopened, provided an enthusiastic platform for educators to prepare for the upcoming school year.
Led by Principal Ms Sonali Sinha, the sessions included updates on the introduction of a partnership with a new sports company, upcoming events, and a refined system for improved organisational structure. Highlights included Ms Manka Sharma, Assistant Professor at GD Goenka University, delivering a workshop on IT skills exploring AI tools. Additionally, Ms Poonam Singh, Head of Program IB PYP, and Ms Neeti Sharma, Head of Program IBDP, led a stimulating brainstorming session on “Inquiry-Based Learning.” We also hosted guest speaker Ms Mandeep Khaira, IB PYP Coordinator at GD Goenka Global School, who discussed Design Thinking, emphasising how children should be given opportunities to be creative and enhance critical thinking.
Our GD Goenka Group CEdO, Dr Amrita Bahl, emphasised the pivotal role teachers play in upholding the school’s values and norms. She highlighted their commitment to fostering a supportive environment essential for ensuring the holistic well-being of students. She encouraged the development of policies and practices that prioritise not just academic success but also the emotional and social growth of every learner.
We eagerly anticipate the new school year and the invaluable contributions of our dedicated teachers and inspiring students!
