Excursion For GDGWS Boarders

admin News & Events

During our for Dussehra break around 31 students stayed back in the boarding and a trip was organized by the school. It was a 10-hour journey and was situated near the boarder of Corbett; it was called the ‘Nature Village’. All  boarders  had an amazing time, as it was something different to experience and learn. Few of our activities were located next to the riverbank, which was around 30 minutes away from our camp. The adventurous activities which were conducted near the riverbank were Jumaring, river crossing, rock climbing, rappelling and kayaking.  The meals were also served next to the riverbank and all these activities had taken around 5-6 hours and everyone had an amazing time experiencing these adventurous activities.  The other 2 days had included fun village activities, which had also got us something new to learn and experience. The students were also taken for a night safari on the last night of our trip. The climate and atmosphere was very pleasant due to early morning rain.  Taken for  a nature walk a, the students learned a lot about the farms and also the life style of the people who have been living there for ages.
