GDGWS conducted its Annual Athletic meet 2012-13 for various categories separately. The occasion was an opportunity for the students to showcase physical skills and discipline through various track and field events aiming at instilling in our students the true spirit of sportsmanship, which traverses beyond their excellence on the field and permeates into their very essence of life and their attitude towards it. After a month long practice for the basic skills ,they geared themselves for trials and finals. The various events of this Athletic Meet were scheduled meticulously and programmed very well for four days.
All the wings of the school participated in various sports events. Students of grades Nur to 2 participated in an array of colorful ,spell binding and coordinated activities in the form of fun races. The intensity and the spirit of the competition could be judged from the excitement of all the house members cheering for their respective house contestants in the race. Certificates, and medals were awarded for excellence in track events. SORBUS house won the athletic meet with 192 POINTS, followed by CYCAS with 160 POINTS. CEDRUS house with 129 POINTS stood third and NYSSA stood fourth 105 POINTS

School Principal, Ms Neeta Bali reiterated the importance of true sportsmanship and emphasized the significance of sports in developing the all round personality of an individual. For junior school ,Vice Principal and Coordinator cheered up and congratulated the students for their efforts.
