GDGWS celebrated 67th Indian independence day with full fervor and grandeur on 14th august. Entire school had assembled to take part in the celebrations. The day started with flag hoisting by our esteemed principal Dr. Neeta Bali amidst enthusiastic singing of national anthem. As we share our independence day with Korea , our Korean students attired in their national costume Spoke about how Korea got its freedom 69 years back, followed by singing of Korean national anthem.
Our celebrations started with our PYP young students dressed up as soldiers , singing and marching away to the tune of ‘HUM JAWAN’, followed by chorus singing of soulful patriotic songs by our middle school students.The landmark of the day was beautifully choreographed Dance- drama . Our freedom struggle was depicted beautifully in three stages “Jallianwala Bagh “massacre , our heroes being martyred and finally our revolt against tyranny invoked by our hero Mangal Pandey. The day culminated with patriotic hindi and English poem recitation in full zeal by our students.
