GDGWS students win accolades at WOODSTOCK MUN

It was a great opportunity for our students to participate in a robust dialogue with the international community and different famous schools at Woodstock Mussorie through WSMUN conference. Our school was represented by nine students from grade ix and xi and all but 2 were first timers. Our school participated in two committees: Human Rights Conference and United Nations Environment Programme.

 

They relentlessly debated and networked, negotiated and amended resolutions for 3 days and finally won 2 awards; Aditya Banerji of grade ix won outstanding delegate award , competing all 48 delegates ,coming from DPS RK Puram, Pathways World school ,Doon  School Dehradun, Welhelm Boys , Hope School and delegates from international community .Sayyam Khurana of grade xi won most honorable delegate by competing 48 delegates from different schools and community.

The name of our school was acknowledged twice in the assembly and everyone applauded. Zaigam Butt was mesmerizing the first day and his diplomacy and knowledge of Quran and Islam was publicly appreciated by the Chair. Arshia Wadhwa also left a mark on the committee.

Ours was the smallest delegation where as other schools had come with as large as 22 delegates
