Education opens people’s eyes and minds to the realities of globalized world and awakens them to bring about a world of greater justice and human rights to all. Young people as agents of change have a lot of responsibility in fostering global understanding and peace through creating awareness.
As part of their unit of inquiry about how an equal access to education can empower us to transform lives, pupils of Grade 5 from G.D.Goenka World School organized a Walk-a-thon and a Street Play at Galleria Market, DLF Phase V on Sunday, February 28, 2016 to spread awareness on the theme ‘Education for all’ . The air was resounding by the sounds of slogan chanting “Education is our right, for the future to be bright”, by the pupils, teachers, Parents, grandparents. The street play performed by the pupils was very effective to convey the message and liked by one and all present there.
