On April 16, 2011, 121 students of outgoing batch of May 2011 attended a grand Graduation Ceremony at G.D. Goenka World School, Sohna, The programme commenced with invocation and a formal and profuse welcome of the Chief Mentor & Special Guest ,Dr. Kashi R. Balachandran, Professor of Accounting and Operations Management at Leonard N. Stern School of Business , New York and the Chief Guest ,Dr. Indu Shahani , The Honorable Sheriff of Mumbai and the Principal of H . R. College, Mumbai, by the Principal of G D Goenka World School , Ms .Neeta Bali. The highlights of the day were Passing of the light and felicitation of Diploma students by DP co-ordinator Ms. Sapna Yadav and Giving of the Souvenirs to grade XII students, two performances by grade XI students – “Life” and “ Ode to the Parents”.
Presentation of Awards was followed by stirring Addresses by the Chief Mentor Dr Balachandran and Special Guest and the Chief Guest , Dr. Shahani, Honourable Sheriff of Mumbai . Academic Director, Mr . Satinder Kumar, also exhorted the students to strive for ‘ Kaizen’ or excellence in all fields on this momentous occasion , which was attended by most parents of the outgoing students. The Vice – Principal Mr. V.M. Pokhriyal proposed the vote of thanks.
