Halloween, the last day of October, has a special significance for children, who dress in funny or ghostly costumes and knock on neighborhood doors shouting “Trick or Treat!” G.D. Goenka World School , in tune with the spirit of international mindedness , celebrated the same on October 31, 2014. Children were all dressed up and paraded in ghastly costumes of pirates , witches, ghosts, skeletons, demons, zombies, monsters, Draculas, vampires & devils. They held bags open to catch the candy or other goodies for the ‘Trick-O-Treat’ once they visited other classes.
They had a special assembly where they saw videos & danced on
spooky tunes. Soon as they dispersed , they were given Halloween
special goodies (cookies). The healthy spirit of competition was seen
amongst all children as they decorated their corners in various
Halloween themes. They put across all the things they created for the
Halloween’s craft ex: Bats, Jack-O-Lanterns, Spider webs, Witches etc.
The young witches & demons got their photographs clicked on the
special Photo-Booth made for the day.
The day ended on a festive note , where the children were given special
snacks for the theme.
