The year ended remarkably well, with the first Award ceremony for the International Award for Young People (The Duke of Edinburgh Awards) at the GDGWS ceremonial courtyard on Monday, December 13, 2010.
The award is progressive in its commitment and timescale; from bronze up to gold .38 students bagged the Bronze Award, 2 students bagged the Silver Award and one student has been awarded a gold.. The Principal, Ms Neeta Bali stressed the importance of this programme for young people since it is the world’s leading achievement programme for youngsters and is looked upon as an important achievement after formal qualification by most employees and universities.
