National Environment Youth Parliament 2022 ,at the Sansad Bhawan hosted by Manav Rachna in association with PSG was an eventful experience for all the participating students, ENOs, PSG members and Manav Rachna.
From proposing carbon markets in India, highlighting the resources our country is blessed with, building on the potential of mining to deliberating on the consequences of modernization, the sessions were power-packed with innovative ideas, strong statistics, empowering statements and proposed policies to help reduce the environment depletion.
Young participants drew attention towards renewable energy, natural gas and wind power plants.
The idea of green school for youth to build a sustainable nation was also brought to light by one of the participants.
Shri Om Birla (Hon’ble Lok Sabha Speaker), Parliament of India presided as the Chief Guest during Youth Parliament Session 2. Shri Bhupender Yadav , Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, GoI, and Shri Savji Dholakia, Padma Shree Awardee were the Guests of Honour. Ms. Aarya Chavda, a 12-year old environment crusader, and Master Kautilya Pandit, IBDP student from GDGWS, popularly called Google Boy also joined the session as Special Guests. #gdgoenka#gdgws#
