GD Goenka World School celebrated the Earth Day on April 28, 2017 by hosting an Inter -School Colloquium on ‘Strategies for Sustainable Earth.’ The event was aimed at exchanging views and educating the future generation on the most burning issues of today. Several schools like Modern School, Barakhamba Road, GD Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, Manav Rachna International School, Shri Ram School Moulsari and Scottish High School participated in the event and made it a success.
The colloquium started with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Mr. Skand Bali, followed by an inaugural dance. The students of the participating schools presented their views very confidently through power point presentations. There was a poem and a video shown highlighting the wrath of man leading to the destruction of nature. The judges of the event Ms R. Pushkala and Ms Varsha Khetrapal found it difficult to judge the event as each school was better than the other.
