On the 27th of October an English and Art Inter-disciplinary Class was held in the CS1 Room when the ‘Banyan Tree’ by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was read out to the Visual Arts Pupils of Grade 7 by Ms. Priya Mahendru, Faculty, English Department
The poem was discussed by the students with their English teacher and possible visualizations were described by the CS1 Art teacher. This assignment was completed over two weeks or so. The students came up with colourful interpretations of the poem and it was encouraging to see how their ideas brought the poem to life!
We hope to have more such creative and happy amalgamations of subjects in this manner!
