On August 4th, 2012 our school welcomed 55 new boarders. Our Counseling Department headed by Mrs. Ritu Dhingra organized a fun-filled ice-breaking session for our new entrants. The purpose was to help them get to know each other, forge new friendships and begin their boarding life with a bang!
First, the students were encouraged to mingle around asking each other’s names and present them in the form of a ‘Crossword Puzzle’. Then followed an innovative ‘Speed Meeting’ game in which they interacted with their fellow mates one by one for a quick 1-minute personal sharing activity. Next, we had an expectation sharing round which revealed that our students our looking forward to gain new exposure, better academic prospects, independence and a memorable boarding experience.
Our esteemed leader Mrs. Neeta Bali concluded the session with a special address. She urged the students to be life-long learners and fulfill their own dreams and those of their parents as well. A special GD Goenka chocolate was given to every student as a token of our love and appreciation!
