G.D.Goenka World School held the Mathematics week between 8th May and 12th May 2017 during which various activities related to Mathematics were conducted.
Students of Grade 9 & 10 participated in various Activities viz Vedic Maths, Sorting card activity on ‘Graphs’ and learning various Mathematical tricks. It kept students involved enthusiastically. Some students of Grade 9 individually taught Vedic Math’s to the entire class. These gave them a chance to exhibit leadership quality and explore their horizons on the Knowledge of ‘Vedic Maths’ and its history and its application.
Grade IX and X presented Math Assembly on Friday. Grade IX and X students participated in ‘Math Quiz’ which was conducted during Maths assembly. It was a fruitful brain – storming session. Students of Grade IX also performed a skit on importance of Maths.
Grade 6,7,8 also performed Mathematical activities using origami sheets and enjoyed learning by doing in classrooms. Every student participated in it.
Almost every student participated with full enthusiasm in these exciting events with a healthy competitive spirit, and got a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty of Mathematics.
