A Mathematics Workshop was held at G. D. Goenka World School, Sohna premises on May 22 , 2013.The objective of the workshop was to highlight the use of the Texas Instruments Handheld Technology.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Jim Nakamoto, a renowned Mathematician and a lead IBO Trainer..It was attended by 30 teachers from different IB and CBSE schools all over the NCR, including Sriram School, Pathways Schools and different branches of G D Goenka Schools. The workshop introduced us to TI –Nspire CX, an updated software which could be used by IB students . The workshop commenced with a warm welcome by Head of School. Dr. Neeta Bali. It was a highly informative and interesting learning experience. Mr. Jim enthralled the teachers with his expertise with the instrument and excellent oratory skills. His team from the Texas Instruments was instrumental in providing individual help to anyone requiring help. The utility of TI-Nspire CX for handling various topics like graphs, algebra, calculus, statistics etc. was explained in a very emphatic manner.
