Middle School Inter-House Art Competition

The shortlisted artists representing their respective Houses rushed into the Art Room and sat down at their designated tables to get ready for the competition. There were 16 students, four from each House.

There was an air of excitement as the topics were read out and each contestant was ready to give vent to their creativity.

The topics were as follows:-

• A road in the hills
• Two trees
• Friends
• A basket filled with apples
• A man on a street
• A car parked in front of a building
• Two boats

Pencils started to move swiftly on the paper provided to the students and they began to draw. Soon they began to paint or colour their pictures too. The young artists had to race against time as they had under an hour to complete their creations. Interestingly enough all of them were able to cover the small pictorial spaces with innovative ideas in watercolours, with crayons, colour pencils etc.
