Reading passport is a new and engrossing activity especially designed to attract students to read and expand their awareness of the world. It is a folio, where students keep track of the national geographic books they have read by listing them and answering the questionnaire prepared by the teacher to prove their understanding of the books.
To commence this activity, the students read ‘National Geographic books’ on various themes and made their reading passports. The student with the maximum number of books in the passport was presented with a prize.
This activity is especially designed to enhance the students’ open – mindedness as the students obtain knowledge about different ethnic groups and their cultures, customs and traditions of various countries, wonders of the world and famous people.
