AIU-Association of Indian Universities is an organization and association of major universities in India.
Mr Sambhav Srivastava-Under Secretary, Association of Indian Universities was invited as a Special Guest to GD Goenka World School, on Monday, February 4, 2019.
Mr Sambhav is working in Association of Indian Universities since 1984. Presently as Under Secretary Evaluation. Long experience of handling the cases of equivalence of foreign degrees and School level qualifications. Well versed with the System of Education world over. Was a member of several Visiting Committees constituted to accord equivalence to PGDM programs offered by institutions outside the purview of Universities including IIMs.
The Head of School Dr Neeta Bali and the faculty members along students and parents were present there. An “Interactive session on Recognition and Acceptance of IB-DP in India” was the topic of the talk.
Under Secretary AIU, in his speech emphasized on new equivalence policy in India. What are the prospects of IB Diploma students getting admissions into Indian Universities? In the session, Mr Srivastava, also highlighted equivalence of degrees between the universities in India and abroad. Degrees awarded in lesser duration in terms of years of studies than applicable in case of Indian universities even though the student may have completed all the credits specified by the university.
This session was invaluable for those who are aspiring to secure admission in the Indian Universities.
