“Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.”
An Inter-House Spell Bee Competition was organized on 7th November 2017 in the school Assembly Hall, for middle school. This competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competitions that give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways. This competition helps students improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop the use of correct English.
Children participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all.
- First Round: ‘Brainstoming’
- Second Round :’Odd one out’
- Third Round: ‘Jumbled words’.
- Fourth Round: ‘Spell the word’
From every House there were two participants. The first runner up of the competition was Cycus, and the winner was Nyssa house.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Priya Mahendru and ably judged by Ms. Geetanjali Yadav, both of the English Department. The event was flawlessly conducted by students of Grade 8C –Saaransh Malhotra, Shashank Kataria.The time keeper was Jasmine Kaushik (8C) Sujal Dewan (7B) and the tabulators were Nikita Nunes and Aditya Bhardwaj while the slide changer was Chirag Yadav.
