In the month of February 2010, about 60 students from the Militant affected area of the state of Jammu and Kashmir visited the school as part of “Sadbhawna” – An attempt by the Indian Army to sensitize young people to the importance of national integration and offer them the opportunity to interact with their counterparts in the other parts of the country .
They were welcomed warmly and conducted around the school by the students of grades XI and XII , who not merely empathized with them but also felt enriched after this brief interaction . The group , which was accompanied by a Principal , Teachers and personnel from the Army also met the Academic Director , Mr. Satinder Kumar and the Principal , Mrs. Neeta Bali.
