SAP Day–2012 – Student Activity Programme Exhibition

There was a lot of exuberance and excitement in the Assembly hall on the 18th of October 2012 to mark the SAP Day. The SAP members of various clubs run at GDGWS under the SAP Program exhibited their projects in the hall which was witnessed by the Senior Management Team ,staff and the students.

“Nimble feet”, the dance club, performed a Kathak routine that amazed everyone present. “Mellifluous melodies”, the music group, satisfied our ears with a self composed song and a few individual pieces. “Eco warriors”, the environmental group, showed us how to save water and use substitutes for plastic. “Shadows”, the drama group, performed a Hindi lingual theatre performance showcasing immense talent and interest. The I.T. SAP Club made a few short movies highlighting the causes of pollution. The art club, “The Creative Hands” portrayed their artistic talent by creating a breathtaking display of popsicle art. The Model United Nations Club which functions throughout the year highlighted their knack for understanding International Relations by winning many accolades in Inter-School competitions such as INMUN etc.. The Literary Club made a presentation on the different world renowned authors acquainting us with their contributions to the literary world.

The Student Activity Program an initiative by the Principal, Mrs. Neeta Bali , for  IGCSE , acts as a precursor of CAS for IB-DP. It increases the awareness of students’ own strengths and areas of growth. The teacher mentors and the students worked collaboratively to make this day a huge success. The projects were complimented by one and all.
